Peter Podovinikoff

A pioneer in the Canadian credit union system, Peter Podovinikoff was a Certified General Accountant (CGA) active for over four decades and held leadership roles as President of Delta Credit Union eventually becoming Chief Executive Officer of Envision Financial, with the merger of Delta Credit Union and First Heritage Savings Credit Union. 

Instrumental in founding the First West Foundation in 1996, Peter was passionate about people and community, spending a half-century as an active participant and generous supporter of The Rotary Foundation. Retiring from the executive team of Envision Financial in 2004, Peter proudly served as a First West Foundation Director for 25 years.

For his extensive community work, Peter was inducted into the Canadian Credit Union Association’s Hall of Fame, was awarded the Commemorative Medal for the Golden Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and was awarded the CGA-BC Community Service Award for outstanding service to his community and exceptional community volunteerism. 

Peter was a passionate visionary and a credit union leader on the local, provincial and national stages. His courageous commitment to people, community and the credit union system made him a trailblazer and an outstanding First West Credit Union Leaders Fund Inductee.
