The 2021 granting cycle is now CLOSED.

Expressions of Interest (EOI) are open and will be held for review for the 2022 grant cycle.

The Enderby Financial Community Endowment was created as a legacy gift to support the community of Enderby and Area F of the North Okanagan Regional District.

Grants are in the $3,000 - $10,000 range.

Grants will be made to community-based projects addressing one of the following areas:

  • Youth-based programming
  • Enhancing community education and literacy
  • Community services for at-risk populations (e.g., at-risk of hunger, abuse, neglect, homelessness, etc.)
  • Seniors support services

Applications for projects supporting the funding focus areas will be considered using the following criteria:

  • Projects should benefit the community of Enderby or communities in Area F of the North Okanagan Regional District.
  • Preference is given to projects that build community capacity. For instance, programs which help individuals and families learn new skills and abilities.
  • It is preferred that the requesting organization should be contributing toward some of the project costs or should be raising funds from other sources, as the Foundation's role is one of partnership.
  • Proposals should be for clearly presented specific projects or programs.
  • Projects should benefit many and offer equal and open access.
  • Funding is available for faith-based organizations so long as the requested project is for general community benefit.
  • Funding is available to federally-registered charities and "qualified donees" as described by the CRA.
